  • Introduction

The increasing demand for water coupled with its increasing scarcity is severely modifying patterns of demand and supply. The competition among different water reliance sectors is also increasing and countries around the globe are becoming strict towards water allocation by diverting more water to those sectors which generate higher revenue per unit consumption of water. Conclusively, the future challenges in water allocation are complex in nature due to the involvement of an additional aspect i.e., economics. However, the literature that links water and economy is not very comprehensive. We are, therefore, interested in publishing cutting-edge case studies and full length papers which explicitly introduce novel methodologies to explore the role of water in national as well as global economy _ ultimately suggesting a policy (or system) for equitable intra-sectoral distribution of water based of the revenue generation.

    Aims and Scope:

    1. Water demand management
    2. Water management and planning
    3. Water policies
    4. Water economics
    5. Water and industry
    6. Water and food
    7. Irrigation water pricing
    8. Water infrastructure and sustainability
    9. Role of water in human and societal development
